Developer Canari Games announced that their 2D pixel-art action-adventure game Castaway will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 16th, 2024.
In Castaway, players take on the role of Martin, whose spaceship crash-landed on an uncharted island where his faithful pet was taken by hostile creatures. Retrieve your weapons and venture out to rescue his kidnapped companion in this endearing and unexpectedly dynamic world.
From the pacifist mode without enemies, the invincible mode, or even the challenging unfair mode, Castaway is said to cater to all ages, from seasoned gamers to younger players discovering the genre for the first time. It also features a speedrun mode, where the game will output a timer on how fast you can clear it.
