Coming this October, the newest entry in the esteemed Disgaea series, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, is set to launch in North America on the 3rd and Europe on the 6th, available on both PS4 and PS5.
For those unfamiliar, the Disgaea series, a brainchild of Nippon Ichi Software, stands tall as a celebrated collection of tactical RPGs. Rooted in the mythical Netherworlds, these games weave tales soaked in political maneuverings, riotous humor, and a rich tapestry of character development. Players find themselves enmeshed in strategic, grid-based warfare, aided by a multifaceted assortment of characters and classes. And as you’d expect from the series, the tales spun are a heady mix of comedic high jinks involving angels, demons, and a bevy of otherworldly beings, all set against a backdrop of deep and engrossing tactical gameplay.
In Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, our heroes, Fuji and Pirilika, form an improbable alliance. Together, they embark on an epic quest to liberate Hinomoto. With the oppressive Demmodore Opener and his Demonic Magistrates casting a long shadow, our duo finds themselves on a quest to secure seven legendary weapons. But the road ahead is fraught with danger, and the ideological differences between them threaten to tear their partnership asunder. Will they prevail against the odds? Only time will tell.
