Square Enix has shared an in-depth look at the gameplay elements in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The State of Play presentation shared a new video with over 11 minutes covering these details.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second part of Final Fantasy VII’s remake, covering what the group does after leaving Midgar. The freedom to explore the vast world is a huge selling point.
With this new video, Square Enix presents the many regions players will be able to explore. The areas include Grasslands, Junon, Corel, Gongaga, Cosmo Canyon, Nibel, and Meridian Ocean.
Activities in the game include gathering World Intel for Chadley, and doing various Odd Jobs. The video hints at many side characters’ stories, and minigames, including the fully-fledged Gold Saucer.
Rebirth will include the date scene, and players can pick various characters to have fun. While the original Final Fantasy VII only allowed for Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie, and Barret, there will be new options if players get closer to other teammates.
