Square Enix announced that the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo version will be receiving an update on February 21st, 2024.
This new update will unlock another playable section entitled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon” after clearing the “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” content. In this special preview made specifically for the demo, players can explore a small piece of the massive in-game world around the harbor town of Junon.
Unlike the Nibelheim portion of the demo, however, progress from this part cannot be carried to the full game, due to the nature of the content.
Furthermore, the Japanese account recently tweeted out that this update will also include a bug fix in order to address the ongoing image quality issues in Performance mode. This will apply to the full version as well.
