Developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. Games have announced in a new Developer Update video that their free-to-play crossover fighting game MultiVersus will finally be releasing on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on May 28, 2024.
Originally released as a beta test from July 26, 2022 to June 25, 2023, the developers have since then rebuilt the game from the ground up with new code, now on the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
Furthermore, it was also revealed that brand-new personalities will be added to the fighter roster, alongside new stages featuring new worlds, and a brand new PvE (player vs. enemy) mode that will offer a new way to play, outside of the competitive play in PvP (players vs. players).
