Square Enix has just announced a collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV Online MMORPG and Final Fantasy XVI. The event will be held from April 2, 2024 to May 8, 2024, and will feature several rewards.
To participate in the event, new players must first level up their character to 50, and complete the main scenario quest The Ultimate Weapon. Once all conditions are met, players must speak with the Neophyte Adventurer NPC, located at Ul’dah’s Steps of Nald and accept the A Land on Fire quest.
By completing the event, players will be able to get Final Fantasy XVI-inspired items such as the Metian gear set, inspired after the protagonist Clive, as well as a flute to call upon Torgal, the trustworthy partner, and several orchestrion rolls containing songs from Final Fantasy XVI. According to the producer, Naoki Yoshida, spoilers to Final Fantasy XVI will be kept to an absolute minimum, so that everyone can enjoy the quest.
