XSEED has revealed that they’ll be responsible for publishing Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion in the west. The Japanese horror game will be available on PS4 in Fall 2024.
Corpse Party is a series of horror games created by writer Makoto Kedouin. The original game had a team of kids exploring an otherworldly school after a ritual goes wrong.
However, the series expanded from that premise and the new game features a new cast of main characters. A new urban legend called Ayame’s Mercy takes a trio of high school girls to a hospital.
The company has shared a trailer announcing the release and showing a few bits of blurred gameplay, making it clear that the title will be 3D this time:
While the company hasn’t revealed a specific release date in their social media comments, an image in the official site points to an August 28, 2024 release for Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion.
