Inti Creates has announced the release date for Card-en-Ciel. The upcoming deckbuilder roguelite will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on October 24, 2024.
Card-en-ciel tells the story of Neon, a “gaming chair detective.” One day he gets a help call from Ancie, a developer in the Rust Tactics team.
Some sort of malfunction has brought characters from other games to the full-body VR title. Neon will now explore various dungeons, encounter heroes and heroines and look for the true cause and a way to save the gaming world.
Along with the date announcement, Inti Creates revealed a gameplay trailer. The video presents main character Neon and Ancie and then explainis the game systems.
Card-en-ciel is a roguelite experience with 10 dungeons and 300 cards. Each time you enter a new area, your deck is different, forcing you to adapt to new strategies. However, you can still bring trump cards you have previously unlocked.
Special cards known as Muses can drastically affect combat. Their effects only activate when the player meets certain requirements but they have the power to turn the tides in difficult battles. These Muses also change the music with 50 songs, such as “opening themes,” or “endings” from real Inti Creates games.
