ATLUS has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. This time we get a closer look at Karasu Tengu.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Karasu Tengu is a creature of Japanese mythology with crow-like features. It first appeared on the Japan-exclusive Lost Bible III and was a part of some other games in the series but it wasn’t in the original SMTV.
The video showcases Karasu Tengu using Light and Wind skills, which are its elemental affinities. For Mahamaon and White Dracostrike, it has a +1 bonus; but for Mazanma it has a +3 instead.
The next video should give us a closer look at Dis. Though this creature is recurring in the series, it’s a new addition to this version of SMTV, as it was not in the game previously.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
