ATLUS has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. This time we get to see Dis in action.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Dis is a goddess of fate in Norse mythology. It has appeared in multiple Shin Megami Tensei titles but not in the original V on Switch.
In the video, we get to see Dis using Tetrakarn, a support skill that protects one character from Physical skills, with a +2 bonus. It also uses Marakunda +2 to decrease enemies’ defenses.
The silhouette at the end of the video points to Efreet, a demon that was not part of base SMTV. Considering the traditional legends about this Arabic creature, it should be aligned with fire.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
