During their LRG 2024 broadcast, Limited Run Games and Atari have announced that the Bubsy platformer games will be coming back as a collection, titled Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection. A release date is scheduled for next year on PlayStation 5.
Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection is a collection that includes several Bubsy games, artifacts and interviews. Every single one of the games has been carefully updated for modern platforms using Limited Run’s proprietary Carbon Engine. Some of the games’ rough edges were also smoothed out.
The publisher also showcased some screenshots, which include Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, Bubsy 2, the Game Boy port of Bubsy 2 and Bubsy 3D:
