Netherrealm Studios has recently revealed a brand-new trailer for Takeda Takahashi, the next DLC character coming to Mortal Kombat 1.
Takeda is Kenshi’s son and Scorpion’s apprentice from Mortal Kombat X has been missing since 2015, so many fans are excited for his return. The timeline this version of Takeda comes from has yet to be fully revealed, but he appears just as skilled as he was nearly 10 years ago.
The trailer showcases Takahashi’s fighting style, which puts a lot of focus on the use of his curling sword-based whips. His weapons allow him to be an efficient ranged character capable of closing the gap quickly. The trailer also showcases one of his finishers, where he uses his weapons to constrict his opponent.
Takeda is set to release on July 23rd alongside Kameo character Ferra, another character who debuted in Mortal Kombat X.
