HoYoverse has recently unveiled the first edition of the Special Program, detailing the news of the first version update for their urban fantasy ARPG Zenless Zone Zero.
The new Version 1.1, titled “Undercover R&B”, will arrive on August 14 for PlayStation 5. It will feature the new challenges soon to be faced by New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S. for short) and the complex story between Qingyi, Jane, Seth, and the criminal syndicate known as the Mountain Lion Gang.
Aside from updates to the story and new characters, Version 1.1 will also introduce the a new mode called Inferno Reap, where players can jump into battle with Nineveh directly. And let’s not forget the new areas that players can explore, such as the New Eridu Public Security area at Lumina Square.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 New Characters
Three new characters will be available for players to obtain. The first is Qingyi, an S-Rank Electric Stun character who can fit in a variety of different squads, Her skills can inflict Daze to quickly to stun enemies. While her attacks causes electric damage, she can build up Flash Connect Voltage stacks, triggering a powerful attack once it reaches a certain level.
The second character is Jane. She is a S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent who can trigger the Passion State by building up Passion Stream, unleashing rapid, multi-stage, and deadly attacks while quickly inflicting Attribute Anomaly on enemies. However, before she joins the players’ squads, Proxies will face Jane as an enemy in the story.
And lastly, we have Seth, an A-Rank Electric Defense character who is capable of buffing his teammates. And don’t let that shield fool you! Seth’s weapon can also transform into a large sword he uses to defeat enemies. A Public Security Officer has always got to be prepared.
Zenless Zone Zero New Modes
In addition to regular updates to the Shiyu Defense mode, a new mode is being added to Hollow Zero, called Inferno Reap. After completing the Withering Garden stage and related commissions, Proxies can enter a time-limited battle with Nineveh. The challenge can be attempted as many times as possible.
Furthermore, a variety of new in-game events and features such as Immersive Tactical Drill, First-Class Customer Service, and upgraded camera function with filters and selfie options will offer players fun new ways to enjoy the game!

In Zenless Zone Zero, contemporary civilization has been destroyed by a supernatural disaster known as “Hollows.” New Eridu, the last urban civilization that survived the apocalypse, manages to thrive by acquiring the technology to extract essential resources out of the Hollows.
