Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.
Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.
All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.
An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.
Serpent Starway (World)
Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The third one is Serpent Starway, which has 42 Bots, 16 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.
Inside Serpent Starway, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots, Puzzle Pieces and Lost Galaxy for Free Big Brother, one of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.
Free Big Brother (Planet)
There is a total of 7 Bots, 3 Puzzle Pieces and 1 Lost Galaxy in Free Big Brother. So let’s begin!
Bot 1/7
Right in front of Big Brother, there is a platform with a slime enemy and a Bot. Defeat the enemy to rescue the Bot.
Puzzle Piece 1/3
From the platform where you found Bot 1/7, look to the right to see a small cave. Inside you will grab a Puzzle Piece.
The Boy Bot 2/7
On the right side of Big Brother, look for an owl with a rope. Use the rope to reach the platform on the right (where there is an enemy). Follow this path until the end to find The Boy Bot (from the game The Last Guardian!). Defeat all enemies to rescue him.
Puzzle Piece 2/3
Use the same owl (from The Boy Bot) to reach a platform on the left side with breakable walls. Break it to find an area with a breakable floor. Jump and use your laser (pressing A) to reveal a wire on the ground. Pull the wire to reveal a Puzzle Piece.
Mono Bot 3/7
In the same area you grabbed the Puzzle Piece 2/3, try breaking the floor on your right to reveal a trampoline with a hidden area. Inside you will find the Mono Bot (from the game Shadow of the Colossus!).
Puzzle Piece 3/3
After setting Big Brother free, a Puzzle Piece is on the top of the hut on the beach. Jump on it to grab the collectible. Hard to miss.
Bot 4/7
At the front of the hut with the Puzzle Piece 3/3, there is a star symbol on the floor. Hold the Square button while stepping on it to dig up and reveal a hidden area with a Bot.
Lost Galaxy
Near the hut you found Puzzle Piece 3/3, look to your left to see a rock structure with an electric enemy. Notice that there are two pillars with electric symbols on them. Don’t defeat the enemy just yet, and make him use his electric strike to power up the pillars and open up the entrance to the Lost Galaxy.
Wander Bot 5/7
While climbing up Big Brother, the Wander Bot will appear right in your way, on the back of the giant. It’s impossible to miss.
Bot 6/7
While climbing up the Big Brother, you will find a giant shell on the way. Notice that the floor at the bottom of the shell is breakable. So break it (jump and press A) to reveal a couple of platforms underneath it. One of them has a Bot.
Bot 7/7
While climbing up Big Brother, the last Bot will appear in your way, inside a shell. It’s impossible to miss.
These are all collectibles for Free Big Brother. Congratulations!
