Wired Productions and Angry Demon Studios have just released an episodic video titled The Making of Gori: Cuddly Carnage. In this video, the developers showcase what were the main inspirations for the game’s characters, and sheds some light on the production process
In part one, Angry Demon Studios talks about their approach to the game. Five years ago, a gameplay demo featuring a character using a mechanical hoverboard was created. From there the focus was creating a world that facilitated this gameplay style with flair and ultimately, cuteness.
The video provides a great deal of insight into how the team went from developing horror games to the vibrant, violent title we have today. The amount of work and passion that went into the game is clear, and seeing the inspiration behind Gori himself is quite adorable.
Through community input, a lot of trial and error, and hard work, Angry Demon were able to bring the feisty feline and his world to life. You can learn more about how Gori came to be in the video below.
