Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.
Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.
All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.
An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.
Camo Cosmos (World)
Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The fourth one is Camo Cosmos, which has 40 Bots, 16 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.
Inside Camo Cosmos, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots and Puzzle Pieces for Bubbling Under, one of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.
Bubbling Under (Planet)
There is a total of 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces in Bubbling Under. So let’s begin!
Bot 1/7
Right in the center of the area with the giant starfish, you can see some mini mountains. Inside one of them, there is a Bot.
Puzzle Piece 1/3
When you reach the area with the giant starfish, go to the right to find a barrier and some pillars around it. Inside the barrier, there is a Puzzle Piece.
Bot 2/7
Right in front of the barrier where you found Puzzle Piece 1/3, notice a hole that bursts many bubbles. Use the boost with R2 to reach the end of this hole and rescue a Bot.
Bot 3/7
On the right side of the area with the giant (and near Puzzle Piece 1/3), reach the surface to see a Bot floating on the top of a barrel. When you try to rescue him, an alien appears and abducts him. Chase the alien with R2 to grab the Bot.
Puzzle Piece 2/3
On the left side of the area with the giant starfish, notice a barrier with a glass enemy inside it. Go there and defeat him to reveal a star symbol on the floor that you can dig to find a chest with the Puzzle Piece.
Palico Bot 4/7
When you swim toward the bottom of the area with the giant starfish, you will face a very large and scary beast. Go near him and you will be eaten — then, inside his belly, you can find the Palico Bot (from the Monster Hunter franchise!).
Puzzle Piece 3/3
When the beast spits you out (after getting the Bot 4/7), hit all three seaweeds to make a Puzzle Piece appear.
Bot 5/7
At the bottom of the area with the giant starfish, keep an eye on the left side to find a platform with a chest that is swallowing a Bot.
Bot 6/7
On the left side of the giant starfish, there is a pillar that you can climb on it. On the top, you will find a Bot threatened by an enemy.
Octodad Bot 7/7
Right below the giant starfish, you can find the Octodad Bot surrounded by some fish.
