Astro Bot Guide: Machine Learning – All Collectibles (Bots and Puzzle Pieces)

Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.

Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.

All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.

An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.

Feather Cluster (World)

Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The fifth and final one is Feather Cluster, which has 48 Bots, 19 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.

Inside Feather Cluster, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots and Puzzle Pieces for Machine Learning, the last of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.

Machine Learning (Planet)

There is a total of 5 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces in Machine Learning. So let’s begin!

Puzzle Piece 1/3

Right at the beginning of the Planet, while flying with the ship, a Puzzle Piece will appear in your way. Be quick to grab it!

Erend Bot 1/5

After you get the bow with Aloy, progress until you reach a cliff. On your right, there is going to be an arrow symbol that you can shoot to open a path to the Erend Bot.

Watcher Bot 2/5

When you reach an area with orange grass, look to your right to see the Watcher Bot hanging in a balloon, right on the top of a structure. Shoot an arrow to make him drop.

Puzzle Piece 2/3

Progress until you reach an area with electric traps and a bunch of enemies. Go to the alternative path on the left and look for a platform in the distance. Notice that this platform has a cage — so shoot it to reveal a Puzzle Piece.

Rost Bot 3/5

After the first section, you need to swim into a cave and look up to see the Rost Bot in trouble.

Puzzle Piece 3/3

In the area with the Tallneck, go to the left and keep an eye on the wall to find a hole with a Puzzle Piece inside. Then look for a green barrel that you can shoot to break the wall so you can grab the Puzzle Piece.

Grazer Bot 4/5

In the same area as the tallneck, go to the back of this area to find a bot in trouble. He’s surrounded by enemies and electric traps. Defeat them and cut the traps with your laser to rescue the Grazer Bot.

Sylens Bot 5/5

When you need to go down a blue rope, look back to find the Sylens Bot – the last Bot of the game!

These are all collectibles for Machine Learning. Congratulations!
