Developer and publisher historia Inc. has announced that the quirky racing game Faaast Penguin is sliding its way onto the PlayStation 5 on September 20, 2024, following a successful beta test last weekend, which saw over 10,000 participants according to the developer.
About Faaast Penguin
For those unfamiliar, Faaast Penguin is a toboggan-style, elimination-based racing game where players navigate chaotic downhill courses filled with obstacles. You can race solo, with up to four friends, or join 40-player online events, all while unlocking various cosmetic rewards.
There will be four courses at launch. Your penguins will be sliding down them to the finish line, attacking your rivals along the way. If you’re successful in combat, you’ll be launched into the sky, allowing you to gain a whole bunch of advantages. These include finding shortcuts. In other words: it can be smart to be aggressive, but obviously you’ll need to take those risks to earn those rewards.
