Bandai Namco has shared a new trailer for Bleach: Rebirth Of Souls. This time we get to see Toushiro Hitsugaya, Soul Society’s squad 10 captain.
Bleach is a classic manga and anime series that was a popular work in the Shounen Jump magazine. It received multiple game adaptions over the years, but it’s been over a decade since the last Bleach console game.
Rebirth of Souls is a 3D fighting game that will allow us to play as some of its many characters. Hitsugaya is one such character, and a pick most fans of the series likely expected due to his popularity.
Hitsugaya’s skills in Bleach: Rebirth Of Souls
Toushiro Hitsugaya uses the ice zanpakuto Hyorinmaru. He’s the youngest captain in Soul Society’s history but his strength is undeniable.
Compared to other fighters, Hitsugaya has a special condition: the Tenso Jyurin gauge. As he continues to hit the opponent and avoid damage, this gauge will fill up, increasing the damage of his skills.
This system is enhanced by his awakening, Bankai: Daiguren Hyorinmaru. Once the player activates it, it’ll be possible to increase damage further with aggressive play.
In the video, we also get a good look at two of his special skills. One of them is Soten Hyogeki, which allows us to drop ice blocks on enemies from above.
The other is Hyoryu Renbu, which revolves around creating a dragon-shaped sculpture out of ice. By hitting enemies between their attacks, this should be a perfect “punish” move that’s sure to hit them fast.
