Level-5 revealed that their upcoming RPG project DECAPOLICE will need some extra time for polish. According to their latest presentation in Level-5 Vision 2024, the game’s coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2026.
DECAPOLICE is a criminal investigation RPG. The game combines mystery adventure with turn-based battles in a virtual world called DECASIM, which allows the characters to recreate the scenes.
In the game, we play as Harvard Marks, leader of a rookie team in the Special Investigations Unit. With his mother killed, he swore to one day arrest the culprit. As a result, he has become obsessed with bringing justice to criminals ever since.
Gameplay revolves around figuring out how a crime occurred, and cornering the criminal. Once they’re in a pinch, players have to face them, appealing to their hearts.
However, this may bring Crime Beasts to the surface, initiating combat. It’ll be necessary to use a variety of gimmicks to incapacitate enemies.
