Capcom has shared a trailer for Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. It showcases the mind chess, one of the gameplay mechanics in Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Gambit.
Ace Attorney Investigations is a spin-off duology to Capcom’s classic courtroom drama series. In the games, we play as prosecutor Miles Edgeworth and must look for clues for various cases.
Much of the gameplay includes exploring the crime scene with a third-person view and direct control of Edgeworth. As we find clues, we must piece them together with logic to figure out the truth.
In the second game, which has never been released in English, there’s a new Mind Chess mechanic. As part of the collection trailers, we get a closer look at how it works.
Mind Chess is a debate in which players must confront witnesses and suspects with statements. It’s importnt to analyze their current emotional state and the proof available to probe deeper into the truth.
