Xbox Game Studios and developers Forgotten Empires, Tantalus Media, and Wicked Witch have announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be coming to PlayStation 5 on May 6th, 2025.
There are two versions that are currently available for pre-order through the PlayStation Store: The first is the Standard Edition for $39.99, and the second is the Premium Edition for $59.99. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition will include the downloadable content “The Mountain Royals” and 24 bonus animated profile icons.
If you pre-order the Premium Edition however, you can get up to 5 days of early access, as well as all of the previously released downloadable content, including Chronicles: Battle for Greece, Return of Rome, and the recently unveiled Three Kingdoms DLC.
