Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to get an update sometime next week, according to Ubisoft, confirming the coming of a feature previously announced for the game—the New Game+.
When the update officially rolls out for both PS4 and PS5, players will be able to carry their progress, including the items and other stuff they’ve unlocked, even after the credits roll. Ubisoft also promised that there are “new rewards” in store for those choosing to play through the game again, via the New Game+.
While that announcement will especially make December exciting for the AC fans, there is also something in store for next year. More specifically, there will be the “permadeath mode,” which is certainly going to be a first in the franchise.
Ubisoft has not been very explicit about what the “permadeath mode” will entail once it gets into the game. However, it is said that the feature will become available in-game across all difficulty levels.
Set during the Islamic Golden Age in 9th-century Baghdad, players take control of Basim Ibn Ishaq as a member of the Hidden Ones, coming from a life of petty thievery. As a member of the obscure group, players are thrust into the fight for peace and liberty against the Order of the Ancients whose desire is otherwise tranquility through control.
