Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.
Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.
All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.
An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.
Gorilla Nebula (World)
Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The first one is Gorilla Nebula, which has 42 Bots, 16 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.
Inside Gorilla Nebula, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots and Puzzle Pieces for Az-Tech Trail, one of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.
Az-Tech Trail (Planet)
There is a total of 7 Bots, 3 Puzzle Pieces and 1 Lost Galaxy in Ax-Tech Trail. So let’s begin!
Bot 1/7
After you cross a wooden bridge, you will find an enemy that can make you jump higher. Use him to reach a platform on your left, where there is a Bot to be rescued.
Bot 2/7
When you reach an area with a cactus enemy, look to your right to find a platform that you can drop below. Punch the wall to reveal a secret cave with a Bot.
Crash Bandicoot Bot 3/7
In the area with some stacked cages, look to your right to see another cage in an isolated platform. Hit the cage to reveal a Crash Bandicoot Bot!
Puzzle Piece 1/3
After you break the stacked cages, proceed until you find a pond without water. Punch the red wall to make the water appear, along with a Puzzle Piece.
Lost Galaxy
When you reach the first cave of this Planet, punch all four chandeliers on the wall to reveal a secret path that leads to the Lost Galaxy.
Bot 4/7
Right after the Lost Galaxy area, instead of punching the red wall look to your right. Then punch the side wall to reveal a platform with a Puzzle Piece.
Bot 5/7
After you get thrown by a slingshot, find a tree on the left side of this area (it’s on a platform). Hit the tree to make a Bot come down.
Puzzle Piece 2/3
After the area with the two Russian dolls, keep an eye on the right to find a red wall that you can punch to reveal a platform with a Puzzle Piece.
Bot 6/7
When you swing to reach a platform that has some stairs with coins and two moving platforms, pull the red wall on the first moving platform to reveal a Bot.
Puzzle Piece 3/3
At the same area with swings and moving platforms (where you found Bot 6/7). A Puzzle Piece will appear right in your way in a hole in the wall. Hard to miss, just make sure to grab it.
Jak Bot 7/7
When you need to use a slingshot that is surrounded by raccoons, there is a platform on your left. Go there to discover a secret area with a Jak Bot (from the Jak and Daxter franchise!).
These are all collectibles for Az-Tech Trail. Congratulations!
