Astro Bot Guide: Bot Of War – All Collectibles (Bots and Puzzle Pieces)

Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.

Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.

All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.

An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.

Tentacle System (World)

Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The second one is Tentacle System, which has 46 Bots, 16 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.

Inside Tentacle System, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots and Puzzle Pieces for Bot of War, the last of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.

Bot of War (Planet)

There is a total of 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces in Bot of War. So let’s begin!

Angrboda Bot 1/7

As soon as you open the door behind Kratos and Atreus, head to the right side of this area to find a crack in the wall. Go through it to reach a hidden area with the Angrboda Bot.

Thrúd Bot 2/7

As soon as you open the door behind Kratos and Atreus, head to the left side of this area to find a path that leads up to a higher platform. Follow it until you find the Thrúd Bot.

Puzzle Piece 1/3

Under the platform on the left side of this area, where you get the Thrúd Bot, there is a chest (that is very familiar to God of War fans!). Open the chest to find a Puzzle Piece.

Freya Bot 3/7

As you progress and reach a new checkpoint, notice that the turtle Chaurli is on your left. Go to the turtle and flip him to find the Freya Bot.

Thor Bot 4/7

In the same area you got the Freya Bot, go to the left side to find a mechanic that you need to use your microphone to activate. Jörmungandr will appear and reveal some platforms that you can climb to find the Thor Bot!

Puzzle Piece 2/3

When you reach an area with a checkpoint and two ice platforms, look to your right to find a path that leads to some glass walls. Break them to reveal a hidden path to the Raven Tree. Behind the three, you can find a Puzzle Piece.

Mimir Bot 5/7

In the same area as the Raven Tree, there is a crow on the right side of the tree. Hit the bird to reveal the Mimir Bot.

Brok Bot 6/7

After the ice skating section, you will have to climb to the platform with the giant Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer). Look to your right to find a bridge where you can launch the Leviathan Axe to reveal an alternative path. Do that to grab the Brok Bot.

Puzzle Piece 3/3

At the area with the giant Mjolnir, look down on your left to see a platform. Go down and hit the robot flower to reveal a Puzzle Piece. Use the Leviathan Axe to freeze the gear to grab the collectible.

Sindri Bot 7/7

When you reach the area with the blue slime enemies, throw the Leviathan Axe on the enemy on the left to use him as a platform. Climb up and follow the path on the left to find a chest with the Sindri Bot.

These are all collectibles for Bot of War. Congratulations!
