Astro Bot Guide: Construction Derby – All Collectibles (Bots and Puzzle Pieces)

Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.

Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.

All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.

An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.

Gorilla Nebula (World)

Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The first one is Gorilla Nebula, which has 42 Bots, 16 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.

Inside Gorilla Nebula, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots and Puzzle Pieces for Construction Derby, one of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.

Construction Derby (Planet)

There is a total of 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces in Construction Derby. So let’s begin!

Puzzle Piece 1/3

Right at the beginning of the Planet, while flying with the ship, a Puzzle Piece will appear in your way. Be quick to grab it!

Bot 1/7

As you progress, keep an eye to your left to find a Bot tied to a post. Hard to miss.

Bot 2/7

Progress until you find an area with two enemies on a mud of concrete. Pull the wire on the top of this mud to reveal the Bot.

Puzzle Piece 2/3

After you get the dog’s ability, look to the right to find a wire. Pull it so you grab a throwable magnet and collect as much can as you can in this area. Then use the dog’s ability to reach the platform with a Puzzle Piece.

Bot 3/7

In the same area you grabbed Puzzle Piece 2/3, notice that there are some small yellow platforms right in front of the basketball net. Jump on them and follow until the top to collect a Bot.

Bot 4/7

As you progress, a Bot that has been abducted will appear in your way. Impossible to miss.

PaRappa the Rapper Bot 5/7

When you reach a platform with paint, notice that the paint reveals invisible platforms on your right when you step on it. Follow this path with the platforms to discover a secret area with the PaRappa the Rapper Bot.

Bot 6/7

As you progress and face the second sumo wrestling enemy, there is a movable platform on the right with a dog symbol. Use R2 on it to reach an island with a bunch of crates and a Bot on the top.

Lammy Bot 7/7

When you reach a square platform with pink bunny enemies, there is a path on the right that leads to the Lammy Bot that is tied to a post.

Puzzle Piece 3/3

A Puzzle Piece is hidden underneath the square platform (where you found Bot 7/7). There is an area with a breakable floor that reveals the collectible.

These are all collectibles for Construction Derby. Congratulations!
