Astro Bot Guide: Wormy Passage – All Collectibles (Bots and Puzzle Pieces)

Welcome to Astro Bot, a 3D platform game developed by SIE Japan Studio’s Team ASOBI studio, exclusively for PlayStation 5! The game is a direct sequel to Astro’s Playroom and is loaded with easter eggs that pay homage to many games that marked PlayStation’s story somehow.

Many easter eggs are also collectibles — that’s why finding them is an important part of the game experience. Overall, Astro Bot has 4 Galaxies to explore, with 6 Planets on each. It can take around 12 to 15 hours to finish the story, get all collectibles, and grab the Platinum Trophy.

All Collectibles are divided into Rescue Bots and Puzzle Pieces — and each Planet (or, at least, most of them) has 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces to collect. There are also Lost Galaxies that can be found inside Planets that unlock special Levels.

An important notice is that none of the Collectibles are missable. You can replay any Planet at any time to collect your missing items. There’s also a built-in progress tracker in the PlayStation 5’s trophy list, where you can track how many you found already.

Tentacle System (World)

Astro Bot’s main story is linear most of the time, so you need to complete the Worlds in a specific order. The first one is Tentacle System, which has 46 Bots, 16 Puzzle Pieces and 2 Lost Galaxies.

Inside Gorilla Nebula, there are 6 Planets — 4 Main Planets, 1 Boss, and 1 Special Planet. For this Collectible Guide, we listed the locations for all Bots and Puzzle Pieces for Wormy Passage, one of the Main Planets inside this galaxy.

Wormy Passage (Planet)

There is a total of 7 Bots and 3 Puzzle Pieces in Wormy Passage. So let’s begin!

Ellie Bot 1/7

Right in the first area, there is the Ellie Bot (from The Last of Us franchise!) on the left side. She is seated on a rock and playing the guitar.

Puzzle Piece 1/3

As soon as you enter the cave and reach a checkpoint, there are some shiny stones that you can break to reveal a Puzzle Piece on your right.

Bot 2/7

When you reach the next checkpoint (where there are two worm enemies), look to your left to find an alternative path that leads to a giant mushroom. Hit the mushroom towards the left platform to make a Bot fall on the ground.

Bot 3/7

As you progress, you will need to climb on a giant brown mushroom with “arms”. Notice that one “arm” has a Bot. Hit it at the right time to rescue him.

Joel Bot 4/7

After you climb the brown mushroom with the Bot 3/7, look to your left to see an alternative path. Follow it until you find an enemy to defeat and reveal the Joel Bot.

Bot 5/7

After defeating the giant worm enemy, you will need to jump on a trampoline and break the glass to proceed. Break the bottom glass to reveal some coins and a Bot on your right.

Clicker Bot 6/7

When you reach a checkpoint near a wall with a red button to pull, follow the path on the left to find the Clicker Bot behind a worm enemy.

Puzzle Piece 2/3

At the same area you got the Clicker Bot, look down on your right to see a Puzzle Piece. There are two ways to get it. The first one is for the anxious players (like me), which consists of simply jumping towards the collectible from here and dying after collecting it. The second one is to go back to the checkpoint and pull the red button on the wall to make some water appear. Then swim towards the Puzzle Piece to grab it. It’s your choice, but I can confirm the first one gives more emotion!

Bot 7/7

When Astro gets swollen by a giant enemy, a Bot is in your way. Impossible to miss.

Puzzle Piece 3/3

Inside the giant enemy’s belly (where you found Bot 7/7), there is a platform on the left with a Puzzle Piece as you make your way to the top. Just make sure you grab it.

These are all collectibles for Wormy Passage. Congratulations!
