Atelier Yumia Comes To PS4 and PS5 in March 2025

Koei Tecmo has shared new information on Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. Along with a new trailer, the company revealed that the RPG is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 21, 2025.

Atelier is a long-running RPG franchise that started back in 1997. The games come from developer Gust and have had mostly yearly releases ever since its inception.

The new game will follow Yumia Liessfeldt, a young woman with a tragic past. After losing her mother when she was still a child, Yumia learned that her mother had pursued the forbidden art of alchemy.

Three years have passed since then, and Yumia is now a member of the Aladiss Research Team. She’ll look for hidden truths as she explores the Aladissian Empire, an once prosperous nation that has fallen to ruin.

She won’t be alone in the investigations, as the research group also features other playable members. The new video showcases them and the Japanese voice cast.

According to the game’s official page, the gameplay will be in real time just like the Ryza trilogy before it. Players will be able to change the attack range and use various items to explore different strategies.

The new synthesis system will allow players to explore the mana in the materials to create powerful versions of the items. Just like usual, different material choices will affect the quality of our creations.

A deep dive into Atelier Yumia’s concept

Another video with over 10 minutes explores the various details of the upcoming game. Junzo Hosoi, the producer and head of Gust, starts presenting the same trailer but later goes on to explain the game’s concept.

Atelier Yumia revolves around “memories”. The journey is about facing past events and using memories to foster your future self. As the girl and her companions explore the vast continent and learn about the Aladissian Empire, they’ll have the chance to learn what happened.

The video then showcases the characters, the game systems, and a better look at the gameplay. It’s possible to see Yumia using her gun to gather materials and exploring areas.
