During a panel by creator Katsuhiro Harada on EVO 2024, it was revealed that series mainstay and Mishima clan patriarch Heihachi Mishima will be the next character to join Tekken 8’s roster as DLC, after players thought he was long gone after Tekken 7.
The trailer features a look at Heihachi’s new design, as well as a first look at the first story expansion for the game. It appears the Mishima Zaibatsu is all but done for, as we see what appear to be recruits practicing Heihachi’s famous moveset in various conditions, such as on hot coal.
The entire trailer culminates in a final clip of what happened to the Zaibatsu leader after the volcano incident, showing exactly why he is so dangerous. It turns out you can’t keep a Mishima down.
