Another mutation is forming in Dead Island 2, with developing studio announcing the arrival of Patch 6 on October 22nd, 2024. Promising not to be just any normal update, it is set to be packed with a whole host of new features and bonus content to take every Slayers experience to the next level. Here’s what to expect in this free content update.
Neighborhood Watch-Horde of Hell-A
Neighborhood Watch brings a brand-spanking heart-pounding cooperative horde mode to the streets of Hell-A. In this mode, you will step into the shoes of the Bobcats sorority, who you meet as part of a side quest in the Venice Canals area of the game.
Each day and night you complete missions and collect supplies until on the fifth and final night when the horde attacks at it’s full strength. As you play through you can unlock new abilities to help the Bobcats live to tell the tale. This part of the patch will also come with new weapons, new skins, a brand-new location and even new mechanics for the game.
New Game Plus
A feature that fans have been crying for since the release of the game, Dead Island 2 now has a the New Game Plus feature that is becoming an industry standard. You will soon be able to dive back into the story of Hell-A with your favourite characters weapons and stats.
Furthermore, New Game Plus will also “crank up the action” with an increased level cap, fresh skins, new weapons, harder difficulty modes, more skill slots and even brand new enemies for players to cleave their way through.
