Nyctophile Studios has just officially announced that their first-ever published game, Death Relives, is planned to be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 at the end of the first quarter of 2024.
Death Relives has players take on the role of Adrian, and takes inspiration from Aztec mythology, along with real historical events from the 16th century. The game immerses players into a nightmarish world where the players are trying to survive from long-forgotten gods.
Some of the things players can do include defeating Xipe Totec, the god of death, life, rebirth, agriculture, vegetation, and deadly warfare in Aztec mythology, and also explore real historical places, such as the ship that Hernán Cortés traveled to the land of Aztecs with. The immersive atmosphere also hides other entities lurking in the shadows.
Furthermore, the game will also be available with four difficulty settings along with options to turn off jumpscares for the players who want to focus on the story more. There will also be an option to change the sound of the death whistle with another instrument for those who feel uneasy with the default sound.
