Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Reveals Late June Release Date

Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Kojima Productions have officially announced that the sequel to Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, titled Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, will be officially released on PlayStation 5 on June 26th, 2025.

Pre-orders are expected to open next week on March 17th, 2025. There will be three versions to choose from: the base edition for $69.99, the Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99, and finally, a collector’s edition for $229.99.

Pre-orders for any edition of the game includes an early unlock of the Quokka Custom Hologram, as well as Battle Skeleton: Silver (LV1, LV2, LV3), Boost Skeleton: Silver (LV1, LV2, LV3), and Bokka Skeleton: Silver (LV1, LV2, LV3).

The $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition includes the in-game items Battle Skeleton: Gold (LV1, LV2, LV3), Boost Skeleton: Gold (LV1, LV2, LV3), and Bokka Skeleton: Gold (LV1, LV2, LV3), as well as an early unlock of the Machine Gun (MP Bullets) LV1, Patch 70: Quokka, Patch 71: Chiral Feline, and Patch 72: Why Me?

The $229.99 Collector’s Edition includes a collector’s box, a digital download of the full game, a 15-inch Magellan Man statue, a set of art cards, a special letter from Hideo Kojima, a three-inch Dollman figurine, and all of the items included in the Digital Deluxe Edition.
