Bethesda and id Software have just announced that they have released a definitive version of DOOM and DOOM II on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and it’s now available as of the time of writing.
This definitive collection contains both the original DOOM from 1993, and its sequel, DOOM II. If you previously owned either of those titles, you can obtain this collection as a free upgrade.
Furthermore, this release also boasts several new features, such as a online deathmatch/co-op up to 16 players with cross-play, a community-published single-player mod support, and a new modernized soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult, who composed for the original release.
