About the Earnest Evans Series
The Earnest Evans series consists of three titles developed by Telenet’s Wolf Team: El Viento, Earnest Evans, and Anett Futatabi. They’re action games inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos and set primarily in 1920s America, featuring Annette Meyer, a priestess of the wind, and Ernest Evans, an adventurer, and is considered to be Telenet’s most popular series.
The first game originally released for the Sega Genesis on September 20, 1991 in Japan, followed by November 1991 in North America. The second game launched for Sega’s Mega-CD (known in the west as the Sega CD), on December 20, 1999, followed by the Sega Genesis in March 1992 in North America. And finally, the third game, Anett Futatabi (which loosely translates to Anett, Once Again) launched for Mega-CD on March 30, 1993 in Japan. It was never released on the west.
