During their LRG3 live broadcast, publisher Limited Run Games have announced that in cooperation with Square Enix, the action adventure game Fear Effect will be returning. The game is planned for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with a release due next year.
If you’re unaware, Fear Effect is an action-adventure video game originally developed by Kronos Digital Entertainment and published by Eidos Interactive for the PlayStation 1. It challenged assumptions on game aesthetics and art style when it debuted, because of its use of looping FMV instead of traditional 2D.
