The PlayStation YouTube account has published a new video in anticipation of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It recaps the story of Final Fantasy VII Remake, the first part of the planned trilogy.
Final Fantasy VII is widely recognized as one of the best games of all time. The original came out on the first PlayStation in 1997 and Square Enix is currently working on a trilogy of remakes.
The first remake, simply titled Final Fantasy VII Remake, came out on PS4 back in 2020. It has since received a revised edition called Intergrade in 2021 adding extra content such as Yuffie’s introduction.
The main story is explored in the video, which contains spoilers for the original game. The video is narrated by Red XIII, one of the game’s playable characters.
Final Fantasy VII Remake’s story continues on the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The action RPG will tell the story of the group searching for Sephiroth in the wide world beyond Midgar.
The second part of the remake trilogy is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
