Square Enix has finally released their competitive shooter FOAMSTARS. The game is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as both a free game for PS Plus owners, and separately for $29,99. A launch trailer was released for the occasion.
FOAMSTARS is a 4vs4 party shooter focused on online battles. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation systems and PlayStation Plus subscribers (of any tier) will be able to get it as one of the February monthly games until March 4, 2024, costing $29,99 afterwards.
The concept of the game revolves around territorial battles. By dropping colorful foam over the areas, you can claim them for your team and use it to speed through areas like in Nintendo’s Splatoon.
A colorful cast of playable characters is at the center of the experience, each of which uses different weapon styles.
