Genshin Impact Tips & Tricks: Envisaged Echoes – Vago Mundo

Now and then Genshin Impact releases cosmetic items for a select few characters, be it entirely new outfits in the form of Skins or small visual effects in the form of Echoes. While Skins can be bought or earned from events, Echoes can only be obtained after finishing the challenges related to the respective character.

We’ve done a guide for Diluc’s Envisaged Echoes challenge previously, which you can check out over here. This second installment of the guide will focus on Zhongli and his “Vago Mundo” Envisaged Echoes challenge, which was recently added in Patch 5.1.

How to Unlock Envisaged Echoes in Genshin Impact

Envisaged Echoes aren’t like the ordinary domain challenges. Aside from being quite difficult, multiple requirements must be met before you can enter a character’s challenge. The requirements are:

  • The player must have 2 Key of Echoes (earned through completing levels of the Imaginarium Theater)
  • Players must own the character in question and they must be leveled up to Level 90.
  • The character’s Friendship Level has to be 8 or higher.

Phase 1: Puzzle Phase

Zhongli’s Envisaged Echoes challenge comes in two phases.

This first phase focuses on the use of his Stone Steles, which are created from Zhongli’s Elemental Skill by pressing R2. At the start of the area is a Unique Rock Pillar, which will unleash a Resonant Quake when hit by a Plunging or Geo-based attack.

This resonant quake will continue to propagate when colliding with other rock pillars or Geo constructs. You’ll also notice that there are around four other rock pillars around the area.

There is also a large rock at the end of the stage that needs to be hit by three resonant quakes in quick succession. You will have to place Zhongli’s Stone Steles in between the rock pillars so that the resonant quake can bounce from one pillar to the next and eventually reach the large rock at the end that is blocking the exit.

Simply place a Stone Stele between the first and second pillars, do a Plunging attack at the first Unique Rock Pillar, and then run in between the second and third pillars to place another Stone Stele there. This will allow three resonant quakes to hit the rock at the end and let you clear the level.

Before you can get to the next phase though, there’s an unclimbable wall in the way. Simply summon a Stone Stele, climb that instead, and then jump on to the next stage.

Phase 2: Combat Phase

You will have 90 seconds to defeat 8 enemies, which will arrive in three waves:

  • Wave 1 will have 2 Eremite Desert Clearwaters and an Eremite Daythunder.
  • Wave 2 will have 2 Ruin Scouts and a Ruin Destroyer.
  • Wave 3 will have 2 Ruin Guards.

During this phase, “Assisting Crystals” will appear on the field. A single hold-cast of Zhongli’s Elemental Skill is enough to destroy the crystals and claim the buff. Destroying them will grant a 30-second buff: a shockwave will deal Physical Damage at Zhongli’s location whenever he Normal Attacks. This can be triggered once every 4.5 seconds.

Enemies will also deal increased damage to characters not protected by shields. So it’s important to always reapply Zhongli’s shield by holding his skill whenever it’s available.

For the combat itself, it’s recommended to build HP on your Zhongli over damage as his shield matters more for this challenge. This can be done by giving Zhongli HP% artifacts or equipping him with the White Tassel spear.

The damage dealt by the shockwave from the Assisting Crystal’s buff provides enough DPS while you’re attacking to defeat the enemies within the time limit, so building damage on Zhongli for this domain isn’t as important.

Envisaged Echoes: Vago Mundo Rewards

Successfully finishing phase two will award you with Zhongli’s Echo. It can be equipped via the Dressing Room button on Zhongli’s character page by pressing R3. With these Echoes, Zhongli now exudes an even greater aura of elegance and refinement as he strolls through the streets of Liyue.
