During the Genshin Impact Special Program, HoYoverse announced the latest details regarding their Genshin Impact game. Version 4.5, Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade, will be releasing on March 12, 2024 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
In this update, players head back to Mondstadt as they receive an invitation from Jean, Lisa, and the Knights of Favonius to help develop the local alchemical potion business. Furthermore, the Training Guide feature was also revealed, alongside a new type of Wish banner.
The main seasonal event of this update is called Alchemical Ascension. Players manage an alchemical potion shop to promote the local business. To do this, you must handle every step of the production process, including cultivating ingredients, concocting potions, and selling them to customers.
As revenue increases, players can expand the scale of the business by purchasing more operational facilities and exquisite potion bottles to increase the business areas and number of potions that can be sold. Among the event rewards, there are Primogems, and the event-exclusive Dialogues of the Desert Sages 4-star polearm.
Next, one new character will be joining the roster this time in Version 4.5. Players will be able to meet Chiori, a fashion designer from Inazuma, who owns the Chioriya Boutique in Fontaine. She is a 5-star Geo sword wielder, and in combat, Chiori can summon her automaton doll and design assistant, Tamoto, to deal DMG based on her Defense and Attack.
If a Geo Construct is nearby, Chiori will summon one additional Tamoto to the battlefield. When casting her Elemental Burst, she will draw her twin blades and execute a clean cut, dealing AoE Geo DMG. If she’s in your party, Chiori can increase party members’ Movement Speed by 10% if one of the party members is wearing a non-default outfit or wind glider in the overworld.
Chiori will be available in the first half of Event Wishes, alongside a reprint banner for Arataki Itto. In the second half, Neuvilette and Kaedehara Kazuha will be returning, giving players another opportunity to obtain these characters.
Speaking of Event Wishes however, HoYoverse announced a brand-new type of Wish that’s coming to Genshin Impact. The Chronicled Wish will make its debut in Version 4.5, with Albedo, Eula, Mona, Klee, Diluc, and Jean, as well as more than 10 5-star weapons such as Song of Broken Pines and Skyward Pride in the same Wish banner. Players can chart a course towards their desired 5-star character or weapon, and their second 5-star item is guaranteed to be their desired item.
Lastly, the developer also revealed a new feature that’s coming to Version 4.5, the Training Guide. Through the Paimon Menu, players can quickly check on tips and tricks on how to upgrade a character’s weapons and artifacts, with shortcuts available to easily see at a glance how to best proceed, so that players can easily build their favorite characters and teams.
