During the Genshin Impact Special Program, HoYoverse announced the latest details regarding their Genshin Impact game. Version 5.2, Tapestry of Spirit and Flame will arrive on November 20 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
In this version update, players will explore two new Natlan tribes — the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Windand, as they uncover the secrets of the mysterious towering city ruins.
New Natlan Area: Ochkanatlan
Ochkanatlan, an ancient city of Natlan corrupted by the Abyss, is now no longer home to a living soul. In this area, players can take advantage of two new Saurians: The Iktomisaurs and the Qucusaurs, performing their unique abilities to uncover the city’s deepest secrets.
Qucusaurs excel at long-distance, horizontal flights. They can also consume phlogiston
to climb higher or perform a horizontal roll in mid-air. Iktomisaurs on the other hand, can consume Phlogiston to leap vertically higher, giving them unique aerial agility. Furthermore, with their special Elemental Sight, Iktomisaurs can detect hidden objects and secrets that are otherwise invisible.
Version 5.2’s New Playable Characters
Two new characters will debut on Version 5.2: Chasca and Ororon.
Chasca is a five-star Anemo bow wielder, and is known to be a peacekeeper that helps the people of Natlan resolve conlifcts. In combat, she fires a bullet that initially deals Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage, which then splits into six bullets to attack nearby enemies. For each Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro character in the party, two of these bullets will have an Elemental conversion and deal corresponding type of elemental damage.
Next, we have Ororon, a young man who has a deep connection with the Night Kingdom. He is 4-star Electro bow wielder with a unique Nightsoul mechanism that interacts with Electro and Hydro teammates. While charging an Aimed Shot, Ororon will enter the Spiritspeaker state, allowing him to extract power from Natlan’s graffiti and runes. Furthermore, he can also summon the Supersonic Oculus, which taunts nearby enemies and deals Electro damage.
Chasca and Ororon will both debut in the first phase of banners, alongside a rerun banner for Lyney. On the second half of banners, both Zhongli and Neuvilette will return with their reruns.
Version 5.2’s New Quality of Life Improvements
Two new features will be debuting in Genshin Impact’s Version 5.2:
- Artifact Auto-Lock: Managing Artifacts becomes easier with the updated ‘Lock
Assistance’ interface. You can batch-lock items with a single click using recommended
settings. The recommended “General Lock Plan” and “Set Lock Plan” have preset autolocked affixes based on common applications. Meanwhile, you can always disable the recommended plans, and come up with your own custom ones instead. - Mark Your Artifacts: You can now use the marking function to filter your Artifacts.
Marked artifacts will be automatically locked, and given priority display in the Artifacts
list, making it easier for you to locate them. - Auto-Resonance Stone Switch: Whenever you’re out and about finding the Lost Oculi, the game will now prompt you to swap to the correct Resonance Stone that is related to that dungeon. For example, if you attempt to use the Hydro Resonance Stone in Natlan, you’ll get a prompt to switch to the Pyro Resonance Stone, should you have it.
