Cygames has shared a new trailer for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. The dubbed video presents a few dialogue lines from the story while showcasing a few cutscene and battle animations.
Granblue Fantasy Versus is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works and based on the popular mobile RPG. It takes some of the characters in the gacha title to the context of 2.5D fighting.
Rising is a revamped edition that adds new mechanics like Dash Attacks, rollback netcode, lobby minigames, and four new base roster characters. It’ll also feature even more additional fighters through DLCs and Season Passes.
The new trailer presents some details for the new story included in Rising. Multiple character voice lines in English, illustrations and battle animations hint at what the new events imply. Players who have not played the original game will be able to play all of its story mode content in the new release.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 14, 2023. A free edition will also be available with limited content, such as restricting players to Chapter 1 of Story Mode and four playable characters (Gran and three rotating choices).
