HoYoverse today announced during the Special Program that Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 1.6, “Crown of the Mundane and Divine”, will arrive on December 27, 2023 on PlayStation 5.
This new update will unveil a brand-new area: the Herta Space Station’s Seclusion Zone, and add three new characters: Madam Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio, and Xueyi, along with the reprint banners of Blade and Kafka.
In addition, all players who have cleared the tutorial will receive Dr. Ratio for free! Yeah you read that right. All players have to do to receive their free unit is to just login during the second half of Version 1.6, when Dr. Ratio’s banner, Phanta Rhei, becomes available. This gift will be available until Version 2.1.
Next up, many quality of life improvements will be added to Honkai: Star Rail, such as increasing the amount of teams players can make from six to nine. And a new currency called Tears of Dreams will be added As a universal material, which can be used as a substitute to replace Path materials to activate Traces or ascend Light Cones in the event that you don’t possess enough of a certain item to do so.
Lastly, a new type of Simulated Universe will be added in Version 1.6. In Simulated Universe: Gold and Gears, dice come with six slots for equipping various Dice Face effects. By collecting Trailblaze Secrets, players are able to unlock even more Dice Face effects while facing several different challenges.
