Level-5 has announced Inazuma Eleven Re, a remake of the first game in the franchise. The title is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2026.
Inazuma Eleven is a multimedia franchise about kids playing soccer. It started back in 2008 and had a soccer RPG on the Nintendo DS. By combining strategical management of the team and adding RPG elements to the matches, the game consolidated a unique approach to the sport.
For the remake, the game will feature a simplified command system that seems to take into account the absence of the touch screen. The title will also feature a chibi-like 3D artstyle that renders the characters like small toys.
