During their Silent Hill Transmission, developer and publisher Konami showcased a 13-minute trailer of the highly anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2.
This trailer showed off iconic scenes from the original game including some of the introduction and following into Brookhaven Hospital. This new showcase mixed in combat, exploration and heavy dialogue scenes showing off the new performances for the remake and the new and improved gameplay, while showing off the devotion to the original tone.
Silent Hill 2 is a legendary horror game that defined the series even outside of the game as certain aspects of the title flowed into the movies, books and other games. The original released on the Playstation 2 to critical acclaim and later rereleased on the PlayStation 3 system.
The game follows James Sunderland who returns to Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his wife Mary. However, he quickly finds himself in the twisted Otherworld, a dark reflection of the town that he and Mary loved. All the while asking himself: could Mary still be alive somewhere in this town?

Silent Hill 2 Remake is set to release on October 8, 2024 for the Playstation 5.
