Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Gets 3 New Trailers

Capcom has shared three new trailers for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. This time we get a closer look at Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, and The Punisher.

The upcoming collection gathers multiple Capcom games with Marvel characters. The list is mostly composed of fighting games but also includes the arcade beat’em up The Punisher.

Check out the full list:

  • X-MEN CHILDREN OF THE ATOM
  • MARVEL SUPER HEROES
  • X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER
  • MARVEL SUPER HEROES vs. STREET FIGHTER
  • MARVEL vs. CAPCOM CLASH OF SUPER HEROES
  • MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes
  • THE PUNISHER

Marvel Super Heroes was Capcom’s second Marvel fighting game. Playable characters included Hulk, Wolverine, Spiderman, Magneto, Juggernaut, Iron Man, Psylocke, Captain America, Shuma-Gorath, and Blackheart. It’s also possible to unlock Doctor Doom, Thanos, and Darkstalkers’ Anita.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Trailers

Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes is a classic entry that included various iconic characters from both Marvel and Capcom. Captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, Gambit, Venom, Ryu, Chun-Li, Megaman, and Morrigan are some of the options.

Unlike the games in previous trailers, Marvel vs. Capcom features a tag team system. This is also part of X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Strictly speaking, those games are the ones considered part of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, while the others in the collection are a bonus.

The Punisher is the oddest pick in the collection. Instead of being a fighting game, this is an arcade beat’em up Capcom released in 1993. It’s possible to play as the Punisher or Nick Fury and enjoy it in co-op.

The collection will also include an in-game museum with concept art, and a training mode with a visible hitbox option.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is coming to PS4 in 2024. It should also be possible to play it on PlayStation 5 through retrocompatibility.
