During the Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, Capcom revealed the fifth trailer for their upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds game, and announced that an open beta test will be held from October 31st to November 3rd. Those who have an active PS Plus subscription however, will be able to access the game three days prior to that, on October 28th.
What is Included in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta?
The Open Beta Test will include three separate experiences: the complete character creation tool with character creation data that will be transferable to the full game upon release, a Story Trial, and the free-roaming Doshaguma Hunt.
In the Story Trial, players can experience the opening cutscene of the game along with basic tutorials while hunting a Chatacabra, while in the Doshaguma Hunt, players can pursue the Alpha of a Doshaguma pack or explore the Windward Plains.
Both the Story Trial and Doshaguma Hunt can be experienced solo, or players can use an SOS flare to create a party of up to four players online or call in assistance from NPC Support Hunters. Players who participate in the open beta will receive a special bonus Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant, which can be claimed in the full version of the game.
About Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, you play as a Hunter that has been appointed to the Forbidden Lands Research Commission by the Guild, whose job is to discover this unexplored land, full of new faces to meet and monsters.
Similar to past games of the Monster Hunter series, you’ll be able to create your own avatar. However, for the first time ever, your Hunter will have fully voiced dialogue. In addition, when you encountering a large monster while out exploring a locale, you’ll be able to begin that quest seamlessly, allowing for deeper immersion.
