Bandai Namco has just released a brand-new trailer detailing the new fifth season of content that’s coming to their free-to-play My Hero Ultra Rumble game.
First, a brand-new character, Mirio Togata, hero name Lemillion, will be added to the character roster. His Quirk allows him to phase through objects and attack opponents along the shortest path, allowing him to either close the distance to opponents or protect allies in a pinch.
Next, a new stage titled U.S.J. Ver. 02, which is a modified version of the U.S.J. stage, significantly revamps the Mountain Area, offering battles in terrains with more depth, including caves, rocky cliffs, and pillars.
In addition, online matches, a new rank has been added. Up until now, there have been four rank tiers: Beginner Rank, Amateur Rank, Pro Rank, and Ace Rank. The Expert rank will be added in between the Pro and Ace Ranks.
Lastly, several new costumes have been added, and balance patches have been applied to every character to ensure a fair play experience. Season 8 is expected to last from Late May, all the way to Mid-June.
You can view the full patch notes through Bandai’s website. You can also watch the Season 5 trailer below:
In My Hero Ultra Rumble, players will join one of eight three-player teams, giving fans the chance to build dream teams of Heroes or Villains like never before, and battle across an expansive city map. By controlling classic MY HERO characters, fans can make the most of their Quirks to attack enemies and cooperate with their team to survive fights.
Furthermore, players can also contribute to their team’s victory by rescuing or intimidating civilians on the field to obtain powerful items that can determine the outcome of the battle. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
