The Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker development team at Bandai Namco recently released a brand-new Developers’ Letter, going over all of the latest details of the eighth season of content that is coming to the game.
New Character: Kawaki (Karma Progression)
In Season 8, Kawaki joins the Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker roster as an all-purpose attack type fighter! Kawaki’s main attacks are Sukunahikona and Daikokuten, which are abilities once wielded by Isshiki Otsutsuki—during his battle with Boruto.
Daikokuten allows him to attack distant enemies and Sukunahikona to shrink himself in order to dodge and counter enemy attacks, making him an exceptional unit suited for aggressive combat once you’ve mastered how and when to use his abilities.
New Feature #1: Summoned Animals
A new feature, Summoned Animals, will be added to the game. Similar to Ninjutsu, Summoned Animals can be equipped to avatars, allowing you to bring forth animals that have undergone shinobi training during battle.
These summons aren’t just limited to getting you around the map quicker either. They’re also capable of helping you gain an advantage in battle depending on how you choose to approach the enemy.
Following the implementation of Summoned Animals, there are plans to gradually add new animals in future updates.
New Feature #2: SS+ Rank Weapons
Starting from Season 8, SS+ tier weapons will be added to Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker.
The developers mention that the idea of this new tier is to make them feel even more special than SS rank weapons by having them draw from the skills and traits of characters from the original series, but still keep them to the same strength level as SS.
While an SS+ item is equipped, your character will strike a brand-new pose when they’re deploying on missions and when they win in Survival Exercises.
Balance Changes
To ensure a fair play experience to everyone, the developers have applied two major balance patches to the game. These include some Master Character combo adjustments” as well as individual changes to select Ninjutsus.
New Weapons and Items!
Four new weapons and items have been added to the game. The Attack Type Weapon: Fourth Raikage’s Gauntlet, the Ninja Tool: Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu, the Heal Type Weapon: Double Moon Sword: Fading Blossom and the Ranged Type Weapon: Tenten Scroll.
These items can be equipped by characters and they all have their own unique abilities that can give you the upper hand in battle.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is currently available on PlayStation 4.
