The second installment in The Last of Us franchise may have been a stellar achievement in the art of game design. But the title, as it appears, could still use some more fine-tuning and overall enhancement. At least, that is what a Naughty Dog employee’s LinkedIn profile seems to suggest when it mentions “The Last of Us 2: Remastered”.
Mark Parajillo’s updated LinkedIn profile could be driving traffic right now following said detail. Have been with the Sony studio since at least January 2021, the Lead Outsource Artist’s description reads:
“Responsible for overseeing the production of all outsourced environment art assets, weapons and interactive props for two iconic titles The Last of Us: Part One and The Last of Us 2: Remastered”.
Sony has not officially confirmed a remaster project for The Last of Us 2. But for a man who is technically intimate with the goings-on within the Naughty Dog studio, his claim certainly holds weight.
But that is not the only thing that’s been hinting at The Last of Us 2: Remastered. In July, TLOU2 composer Gustavo Santaolalla made a slip of the tongue when he mentioned that an “enhanced version” of the game was happening.
That claim was further corroborated during an interview session with Blender where the Argentine composer said that a new version of Part 2 is currently in the works.
