Developer Compile Heart has just announced that they will be porting the trilogy of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth titles to PlayStation 4 as digital-only ports coming later this year.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is a complete remake of the Hyperdimension Neptunia game originally released for the PlayStation Vita on October 31, 2013, in Japan, and was later remade for the PlayStation 5. The player takes on the role of the main protagonist Neptune, one of four goddesses who is involved in a long series of conflicts known as the Console War. After an incident where Neptune is defeated following a one on three battle with the other goddesses, she loses consciousness and begins dreaming.
The second game, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2, was a remaster of Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 for the PS Vita. Re;Birth 2 brings a new selection of playable characters. In addition to most of the original mk2 cast, the game also features the characters representing game developer companies introduced in Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory.
And finally, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Century was also a portable remaster of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory for the PS Vita, where Neptune’s been sucked into an alternate dimension of Gamindustri. In order for her to escape from this late ‘80s world, Neptune will have to collect enough shares to open up the path to her own dimension. All of the three games from the trilogy will have all of the PS Vita DLC pre-installed on PS4.
As part of the announcement, the company has shared a new trailer for the trilogy. While it focuses on the Switch edition, it gives us a good idea of the new ports. You can view the trailer below:
